5-Amino-1MQ
Also known as 5-amino-1-methylquinolinium
5-Amino-1MQ is a small molecule NNMT (nicotinamide N-methyltransferase) inhibitor — it works by blocking an enzyme that controls fat cell metabolism and NAD+ levels. It's one of the newer metabolic compounds showing strong fat loss in animal models.
How it works
Selectively inhibits NNMT, an enzyme highly expressed in adipose tissue that downregulates fat metabolism. Inhibition raises SAM and NAD+ in fat cells, activating fat burning pathways and reducing adipogenesis.
Benefits
- Inhibits NNMT to activate fat cell metabolism
- Reduces fat cell size and lipid storage
- Increases NAD+ and SAM levels in adipose tissue
- Potential synergy with GLP-1 agonists
- Anti-obesity effects without CNS stimulation
