SNAP-8

SNAP-8 is a synthetic octapeptide designed as an extended version of Argireline (hexapeptide-3). It mimics the N-terminal sequence of SNAP-25, a key protein in the SNARE complex that enables neurotransmitter-triggered muscle contraction. By competing with SNAP-25, it reduces the intensity of facial muscle contractions and softens expression lines — a non-injection alternative to Botox.
How it works
Competes with endogenous SNAP-25 for binding sites in the SNARE complex. The SNARE complex (syntaxin, synaptobrevin, SNAP-25) is required for vesicle docking and neurotransmitter release at neuromuscular junctions. Disruption reduces the intensity of acetylcholine release, leading to partial muscle relaxation and reduced dynamic wrinkle formation.
