DSIP
Also known as Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide
DSIP is a naturally occurring neuropeptide that promotes deep delta-wave sleep and reduces stress. It's one of the few peptides specifically studied for sleep quality, cortisol reduction, and stress-related disorders.
How it works
Binds specific DSIP receptors in the hypothalamus. Modulates GHRH release, reduces corticotropin release (lowering cortisol), and increases slow-wave sleep EEG activity.
Benefits
- Promotes slow-wave (deep) sleep
- Reduces cortisol levels
- Normalizes sleep patterns
- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Potential antioxidant effects
- May reduce withdrawal symptoms (studied for opioid/alcohol withdrawal)
Dosing
100–500 mcg · Once daily (30–60 min before bed)
Inject 30–60 minutes before desired sleep time.
